In todays world every one (except very very few ) is running for only one thing that is monetary benefits in various forms. The value of life is nil.

We are living in a developing nation but our value system has collapsed in front of our monetary desires.
May we have some wise leaders who can change this scenario.

Dr., how can we have leaders who can change the money-centric scenario when elections are expensive and they have to recoup their expenses.
We can’t blame poor people for wanting to have money. It’s simply addressing their need and hunger. Please cite examples of what you say as ’value system has collapsed in front of our monetary desires.’
What you gave is a huge and sweeping generalization that may not necessarily apply in a hungry world.
Reality is far too harsh and stark than that, Dr.

I have seen people who are poor but still content with what they have been granted. It is the Knowledge and importance of the understanding which matters.

Lack of true knowledge is driving us towards a valueless society. From the childhood kids are being taught in our countries that ”success” is the keyword of your life and to succeed in life you should be able to earn lots and lots of money. Parents are forcing children in a world of competition where to be successful you should learn to be selfish. We cannot ignore the importance of money in our lives but even if our economics books wants us to believe that the marginal utility of money declines after reaching a certain height but in practice utility of money only increases as one becomes richer and richer.

Before asking people to stop running behind money, we should ask the governments to reduce the prices. Do you have any other choice with the rates of even the essential food items rising so steeply ?
