The devotees performing spiritual practices are able to subdue their mind and senses fully and remember the Lord day and night. Therefore, one who is desirous of having the vision of the Supreme Lord should first turn his attention in this direction. Thereafter, just as one has to use one’s eyes in the order to have the sun, similarly, in order to have the vision the Supreme Lord, one has to awaken the Internal eye, which is located within man’s body. It is with the help of this Eye that the vision of the Supreme Lord can be obtained.

The Lord is so humbel and kind that no real effort of a devotee is unheard and when the devotee travels one step towards HIM, HE comes ten steps near the devotee.

Yes Lily. This one is in fact the words of Prophet Muhmmmad (may peace be upon him):
Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as said that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, stated: I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.” This is the complete saying :)

I think to find a true teacher and become a devotee is much more difficult then surrendering to HIM and getting HIS vision.

You are true Rohit. But one way could be following ones conscience as it never mislead. Leave what pricks the soul or heart and follow what pleases it since evil can never please the soul...

Suifs put in a differnet way. They believe that you have to become non- existence to See HIM. As in, a drop has to extinct itself to become a part of the ocean.
The best teacher on this path is LOVE itself. Non existence means to surrender your will to Him and live your life as He wants you to. This also the hidden meaning of Islam... submiting your will to God. Sometimes one may experince spiritual experiences but the goal is not to have an experince, the goal is not to fly or walk on water; the goal is HIM... He may give you spiritual vision or powers or not, but you need to love and want Him alone. Spiritual powers and experinces sometimes lead people on this path astray and they miss out the true goal.

Like any obsession search for the supreme being is an obsession that programs the mind towards illusory visions. I have doubt about the reality of these visions.

We must have faith before we take a path to have HIS vision. If someone is not sure about HIS existence, how he will ever have HIS Vision?
The faith is must for any religion to be followed.

Thats true Arpita. But again, what is reality and what is actually there is also questionable. According to latest scientific researches, what is even visible through the eyes might be an illusion as well.
J.R. Minkel, a sceintist, writes ”You’re holding a magazine. It feels solid; it seems to have some kind of independent existence in space. Ditto the objects around you—perhaps a cup of coffee, a computer. They all seem real and out there somewhere. But it’s all an illusion”. Minkel’s article states that some scientists call this idea the ”theory of everything,” and that scientists consider this theory the first step towards explaining the nature of the universe. He explains scientifically that we perceive the universe as an illusion in our brains and that, therefore, we are not interacting with matter itself.
The Universe is very mysterious indeed and experiencing God is the highest degree of mystery hence we cannnot comment on it being so lowly and with our limited knowledge. In this respect, I agree with you since not everyone can envision Him. Sufis say you have to undergo a thousand trails and a process of purgation to meet Him. However, we can love and obey HIm and be His humbe servants on earth. Thats easy ;)

A blind man will always be mysterious and doubtful about a beautiful flower or a Garden full of flowers.
But if he is faithful to his Guru and his teachings, he can realize and enjoy the beauty of that garden, without every seeing it. As the fragrance of a flower can be experienced by a blind man, similarly, HIS existence can be experienced by any true devotee, under the guidance of true Guru.
