A True Religion teaches that highest aim of life for man is the attainment of true peace and freedom or liberty i.e. man should decide that his spirit should attain complete freedom from the bonds of body and mind when this state is attained then there is no pain or suffering of any kind would touch that person. He becomes absolutely free from all physical and mental troubles i.e. hunger, thirst, sickness, old age, desire, anger, greed, attachment etc. Also he has no desire left for anything else. To attain this condition, one should surrender himself to or become the disciple of a person who has attained this status, and follow His instructions.
The religion of Saints deals only with deliverance that is secret and glory of the Lord and it describes the mode of reaching His Holy feet by performing the practice of Spiritual Sound Meditation.
A True Religion teaches that highest aim of life for man is the attainment of true happiness for which one has to surrender himself to a person who has attained this status, and follow His instructions.
When man has wealth he becomes indifferent about the True Objective of Life. He feels that every thing can be achieved with the help of money. Thus it is extremely difficult to make rich people agree to make an effort to control their mind and senses and to engage in spiritual practice.
The religion of the world generally speaks of both, the attachment with worldly objects and of deliverance that is Parmaratha, in fact, mostly with the objects of the world.
Paradise Lost ?
by Hassan Abbas
Spare a thought for the needy,
Shed a drop for those in pain;
True ’tis only a drop in the ocean,
But less the drops how can it rain?
Dare to rise to the occasion,
show yourself you really care;
For in this darkness will you dare,
To be the spark that lit a flare?
Come all yea drops and form a puddle,
That turns into a human flood,
of human kindness and understanding;
Erasing centuries of distrust and blood.
With so many disasters to battle,
Besides crime, ambitions, hate and greed;
What foolishness then to quarrel over,
Each other’s beliefs, or caste, or creed!
The destructive Tsunami that befell us,
With furious Katrina not far behind;
And now this Earthquake all reminds us,
How common the problems of humankind.
So think all yea Godly and godless people,
If only love could be our guide;
If all hearts were full of compassion,
Where do you think would God reside?
The kingdom then would lie within us,
This earth a certain ‘Paradise’;
Each female here a certified ‘houri’
Each male –an angel in disguise.
