Who is Afraid of Death ?

Death !!!

The simple word of 5 letters make people shake their body and close their eyes.

Why ?

lpic0027_OAbOk_17953

Because people have understood the death to be a moment when they have to stop using any of these worldly objects and their relationships with family and friends is going to be finished.

They can not imagine a state without these objects and people.

But who lives in this world as a sojourner and desires only to enjoy the bliss of the absolutely Blissful Form of the Supreme LORD, is always ready to meet the death. As that is the true gateway to HIS Abode.

Death is the truth of life....that one day sure come .......but death is not destination of life. ................The main destination of life should be to do something new & positive for human being.

Indeed Dr. Ratan,

Death is a reward for a believer.

It is reward for the deceased and may be a test or a lesson for the ones he leaves behind...

When one has understood the objective of life and always work towards it, the REWARD is sure to come to HIM.

Very true ...as 99.99% humans on earth fear death. Maybe it is so as we all are unaware of what happens to one after one leaves this world and our beloved ones!

Good one Parul...who knows whether we really get to meet God after we die, we don’t have anyone to prove that. The fear of death is because of the attachment a human being has to worldly possessions. Once a Human being overcomes this attachment he is ready to die but this alone is the toughest thing to achieve in life.

The attachment we have with our beloved ones is the main pulling force which brings us here in this world. And we remain in the cycle of death and birth.

Very correct! All are afraid of death, including me. Of course, it’s wise to think that one can meet God after death, but can anyone prove that? And even if it’s proved, how can we leave all our loved ones just to meet some unknown person in unknown region? I love God but I can’t ignore the love and care (and even sacrifice at times), my family and friends have given me.

It is written in all scriptures that the living being takes birth in eighty four lakhs living forms in the cycle of birth and death.

There are many people I know who have no fear of death, rather they are waiting for the occasion, including the writer of this post and myself.

People are scared of death because they are scared of the unknown and are extremely attached to this world. People migbht take death in their stride, but it is rather wierd when they say that they are waiting for it.

One can figure out the meaning based on his own understanding, thus one should be respectful to others feelings and belief. One has full right to think in a specified way, as per his understanding, as mentioned by you.

But the view point changes when one gets new inputs and experience.

With due respect to all viewpoints Dr. what I meant to say is that you can interpret death in the way it suits you. But what I want to know is why should a person welcome and wait for death? I think only people who are higly unhappy will want to do such a thing.

Truly speaking a a devotee who has seen the death while living (during meditation) do not like this world at all as he got the vision of the Supreme Lord thus to have that vision permanently, he is always ready for the death. Because after that he will have freedom from these worldly troubles and cycle of death and birth, to be with HIM forever.

No one knows about death because no one has returned from death to say what remains beyond. I simply do not believe what is written in the scriptures of rebirths in 84lac living forms etc. The scripture writers were not people with memories of 84lac previous lives.

One can count scientifically, several life forms available in different part of globe. And there is no answer to any one who has no faith in writings of ancient times.

Lot of People believe in and have faith in Bhagwat Gita and Ramayana, Holy Quran etc. why ? Because its their understanding.

Not everything written in the holy scriptures is correct and to accept everything without questioning is blind faith. Blind faith creates fanaticism and superstition.
Is it possible to believe that after death we will have to face God’s judgment and sent to heaven and hell according to our virtues and vices.

Again, it is the sweet will of the person concerned, based on his experience and knowledge.

Well, Dr. Ratan i respect your belief about rebirth and all, but any scripture must also have some scientific proves. U know how ple question nowadays... so we need some logical business. And to the surprise of most people, Quran has a number of scientific proofs...

I have just posted one today: http://fariha.instablogs.com/entry/the-big-bang-in-the-quran/

There are a bunch of other things mentioned in the Quran which have proved scientifically true including the development of the fetus in the womb, oceanology, and a number of other things which science has just discoved recently. Its all mentioned in The Quran which was revealed 1400 years bak!

@Dr. Saini

I think life as a human being is a cherished gift from God and something to be celebrated. God will also accept only those people in his kingdom who live their earthly life to the fullest. By loose interest in the invaluable gift, i.e. life, that HE has given, you are only humilitating him. Do you think GOd will actually meet such people after they die?

Only Purified spirit get HIS happiness and those who get purified find this world as a transit place to finally go and meet HIM after their death.
