Great finding. As we mature we become more adjusting and can find happiness in everything we come across.

Hello Ratan,

I am sure, more than sure, that perceptions of happiness change with age, but I was just wondering about the veracity of the findings here.

How were the researchers able to differentiate age-related change which is what they were looking for) from the fact that people have become more pessimistic in general about the future?
This pessimism may not just be due to age, but also to the unprecedented world events over the last ten years, notably 9/11.....

Have an exceelent day...

Pessimistic approach is developed when we do not get what we desire. But happiness comes when we are content and happy with what we have been granted by the lord !!!
